Reservoir Geologist (Male/Female)

Qualification & Experience:

Master's Degree in Geosciences/Geology having at least 10 to 12 years of experience with reputed oil & gas company.

Brief Responsibilities:

• The selected applicant will be energetic, competent and committed to play significant role in growing the company through its ambitious hydrocarbon production enhancement plan by exploiting existing reservoirs and expanding exploration activities within and outside Pakistan.

• The candidates must have proven hands-on geo-steering capability and be capable of supervising and grooming the Junior members.

• He should have broad formation evaluation experience and be fully conversant with drilling technology and techniques. The selected candidate will be expected to play a significant role in a multi-disciplinary operations team and will be able to provide clear and precise communications and reports of activities to peers and management.

Job Description:

• Contribute to formation evaluation and reservoir characterization programs.
• Strong interpretation skills in the areas of stratigraphic and structural geology.
• Experience incorporating seismic data in geological interpretations.
• Hands on experience on Petrel or similar software and any Log analysis suite however IP software is preferable.
• Expertise in developing static modelling.
• Proven experience in mapping and modeling reservoirs, cross section, integrating seismic, log and core data with statistical analysis.
• Interact with exploration team to transition projects from exploration/appraisal phase to development.
• Identifies and defines data collection parameters in conjunction with other disciplines to provide the basis of analysis and modelling and field extensions.
• Designs studies to evaluate and introduce new technology and international best practice.
• Provide geological interpretations of multi horizon fields, and incorporating offset well data, geologic models, seismic information, Petrophysical data and engineering data.
• Responsible for QC, distribution and real-time interpretation of well data.
• In depth experience of modern software applications used in the reservoir geological modeling, such as Petrel or similar.
• Experience in oil and gas reservoir characterization or development, reserves estimates, core description, petrography and Petrophysics.
• Build geo-cellular models at well pattern and field level in order to:
• Support planning and forecasting well and field performance,
• Optimize and support field development decisions (such as project sanction, drilling locations) and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) implementation
• Knowledge of risk & reserves probabilistic assessment techniques.
• Understand the General requirements of the department and the company under the integrated Management System.
• Contribute towards the common efforts to protect the workplace environment by conducting activities in a healthy, safe and environmentally responsible manner.
