Under the supervision of Director Capacity Building and Organizational Development, the Manager Capacity Building (C.B) will be responsible for following tasks:

 

  • Under CVP Capacity Building and Organizational Development, manage the Capacity Building (CB) unit/sub team.
  • To develop/ review the unit program 3-6 days trainings manuals on Project Management, Advocacy, Right to Information, Performance Management Plans, Strengthening Citizens’ Voice and Public Accountability Mechanism, Leadership, Governance, Monitoring and Evaluation etc.
  • Prepare new trainings manuals and training of trainers (TOT) for the project grantees and conduct TOT’s.
  • Periodic visits to partner organizations for capacity building in the areas of Strategic Planning, Performance Management Plans.
  • Gathering/ developing of research material for Program Focus Trainings (PFT) on the project thematic areas.
  • Preparation of power point slides for PFT.
  • Conduct PFT of partner organizations with the help of team and consultant.
  • Hire consultants for research and trainings, prepare RFA, budget and contracts.
  • Supervise the travel, accommodation, payments of sub grantees and consultants.  
  • Prepare a report on each PFT conducted, field visit and also contribute in the monthly, quarterly and annual progress reporting to prime/ donor.
  • Provide technical assistance to partner organizations in CB related matters.
  • Any other tasks assigned by of Director Capacity Building and Organizational Development.

Job Specification

Qualification Required:

Masters in Social Sciences

Experience Required:

10+ year in development sector; working with National and International Organizations

Computer/other skills required:

Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel (spreadsheets) and PowerPoint and excellent Report Writing and Typing skills.

Any other preference:

Past working experience on USAID funded project
