PURPOSE OF POSITION

 The Master Trainer Channels of Hope (CoH) Project with the guidance and support of the Project Coordinator extends technical support to the faith leaders, community members and representatives of Govt. line departments through trainings follow up and field based input. The prime responsibility of the Master Trainer is the capacity building of youth, faith leaders, elected and appointed Govt. representatives, CBOs, community members and Community Hope Action Teams (CHATs) and other groups/stakeholders and creating a learning environment for Improved interfaith harmony and child wellbeing through implementation of the project activities keeping in view World Vision’s mission and principles. The master trainer will ensure the appreciation and respect to the people with diverse faith background.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES

Undertake training need assessment of children, youth, faith leaders, CBOs, community members and Community Hope Action Teams (CHATs) and other stakeholders

Design training material/manuals and conduct trainings in close coordination with project coordinator and other relevant staff

Design and implement training follow up mechanism and ensure need based support and guidance to the children, youth, faith leaders and community members and other beneficiaries 

Ensure timely provision of training supplies as per the project mandate. 

Write reports according to the project and donor requirements 

Produce success stories/case studies and share with communication section through concerned supervisor

Maintain updated record of concerned activities. 

Maintain close coordination with faith leaders, elected and appointed Govt representatives, CBOs, community members, CHATs and other groups and stakeholders sharing progress and information through concerned supervisor and as per WVI’s policies and procedures.

Understands attitudes of the project stakeholders with respect to interfaith harmony

Contribute in short/long term plans, conducting need assessments and developing concept notes 

Submit monthly, weekly and daily work plan to the concern supervisor on regular basis.

Takes on specific tasks as assigned by supervisor

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

MA/MSc with B.Ed.

Master in Social Sciences/Education/Teacher Education is desirable

Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience

Diverse work experience with National/International well reputed organizations is desirable.

3-4 experience in social cohesion/community mobilization or participatory processes in relief, early recovery or development projects in NGOs, INGOs & Government Agency.

Good communication skills both verbal and written in English and Urdu

Can communicate in local languages

Good report writing skills

Able to design training material/manuals and conduct trainings to the diverse stakeholders

Proficient in MS Office (MS Word, Power Point and Excel)

Informed of CRC and INEE Minimum Standards in emergencies and chronic crises

Strong interpersonal skills

Demonstrated knowledge of interfaith harmony, concept of celebrating families and protection service provision to children

Knowledge of latest approaches used in child wellbeing/development

Ready to take initiatives and willing to work later hours and on weekends during emergencies and genuine need basis

Coordination and team building sills

Demonstrates strong conflict management skills
