ToRs_Consultant for National Coordinator (with UNICEF technical Support:
Under direct supervision of Director/ National Focal Point, in close coordination with UNICEF, the support as Consultant for (all nutrition related activities in Pakistan & AJ&K).

UNICEF, Islamabad.
Tasks:
The consultant will focuses on the following listed objectives;
a) Support to National Nutrition focal person of Mo NHSR&C in preparing technical briefs for representing nutrition unit of Mo NHSR&C at SUN forums, coordinate with P&D and provide technical input in the development and operationalization of Inter-sectorial nutrition strategy.
b) Arrange and conduct trainings on Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM), Nutrition In emergencies (NIE) & Infant Young Child Feeding (IYCF) at Federal level involving all provinces and nutrition partners (NGOs, INGOs and nutrition development partner) In collaboration with USI partners, actively coordinate the implementation and monitoring of USI activities at federal level and provide support to provincial focal point at DoH.
c) Support to national nutrition focal person of MONHSR&C in leading the National fortification Alliance at federal level.
d) Represent Mo NHSR&C and provide facilitation to the stunting programme.
e) Represent Mo NHSR&C and DOH in nutrition working groups and other nutrition related coordination forums e.g. Nutrition development partner forum.
f) Coordinate and advocacy with relevant departments on implementation of breast feeding substitute code and legislations.
g) On behalf of nutrition unit, he/she will coordinate with relevant departments for expediting the process of legislations on fortification (USI, WFF, Ghee oil) and supplies related issues at country level.
h) In coordination with UNICEF, arrangement and commemoration of important Nutrition events/ Workshops at federal level.
i) Facilitate and support in solving supplies issues of UNICEF and facilitate in obtaining NOC from DRAP for Vitamin A and other CMAM related medicines in Pakistan.
j) Arranging monthly coordination meeting and progress updates sharing.
k) Consultants will submit monthly progress report to UNICEF on agreed format.
l) Any other task assigned by supervisor.

- Training reports.
- Minutes of meetings
- Proceeding of the workshops.
- Reports on the implementation of National / provincial policies, strategies and plans.
- Any other, as advised by the supervisor
Qualification and experience:
- Post graduate university degree in Human Nutrition or MBBS with MPH (Nutrition focused).
- Minimum 05 years of relevant experience in Nutrition, Health, and development sectorwith demonstrate of experience having similar kind of assignment.
- Previous experience with government/development partners
- Proven skills in communication, networking, strategic thinking, advocacy, negotiation, and ability to relate to tradition and culture.
- Proven ability to conceptualize, plan and execute ideas as well as transfer knowledge and skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as team work to deliver quality results with limited supervision.
- Fluency in English.
