Project Summary: 

Chemonics International, an international development consulting firm based in Washington, D.C., seeks qualified candidates for an anticipated project in Pakistan funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Office of Transition Initiatives. This project will build upon ongoing work under the current Pakistan Transition Initiative (PTI) program, aiming to counter violent extremism and build a foundation for political and social development in conflict-prone communities in Pakistan. We are seeking technical experts and project managers, preferably with prior experience in working on development projects. This anticipated project is expected to span over 3 years and will focus on areas of Northern Sindh, Southern Punjab, and Karachi. 

We are recruiting for a Procurement Manager who can become part of our proposal team and later be hired once and if the Project has been awarded to Chemonics International Inc. The individual holding this position will be responsible for:

  • Purchasing of equipment and materials per Chemonics procurement policies, USAID Acquisition Regulations (AIDAR), and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) in support of program operations and technical activities
  • Working directly with local or regional vendors and the Chemonics home office procurement department to obtain quotations and/or initiating procurements
  • Developing procurement documents for USAID/OTI

Relevant Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least three (3) years of progressively responsible procurement and logistics work experience
  • Experience with USAID-funded projects preferred with an in-depth knowledge of proper procurement protocols for USAID and/or other donor-funded projects required, including familiarity with relevant FAR and AIDAR regulations
  • Knowledge of Pakistani laws concerning procurements
  • Supervisory experience and demonstrated presentation skills to provide trainings to internal staff required
