Driver

Pakistan Reading Project will improve the quality of reading in public and private schools across all of Pakistan; supporting at least 2.5 million additional primary school students to read at all level commensurate with standards at their grade level by the three mutually reinforcing components of teacher education and professional development, systems reform and civil society engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the project staff in movement to project sites/regions.
• Carryout preventive maintenance and inform the management for necessary repairs of vehicles, as and when required.
• Keep vehicles in working order and maintain vehicles inspection checklist on regular basis.
• Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, etc.
• Ensure that all necessary procedures, by law and internal policy, are adhered to when driving
• Collect and deliver mail or documents when required
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Other functions could be related to the position, according to the work needs
• Provide safe transport of passengers
• Willing to travel to FATA when required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualification

Qualification:

High School Education

EXPERIENCE:

• Prior driving experience of minimum 5 years
• Excellent knowledge of the local region
• Valid Pakistan Driver’s license
• Clean driving record/history

SKILLS:

• Excellent communication skills in Urdu, Pashto and local/regional languages
• Ability to communicate in English
