Nutrition Manager

An international non-governmental organization (INGO) is seeking Nutrition Manager for its Community Mobilization Program in Sindh (CMP). He/She will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of CMP’s health and nutrition activities, including developing strategies and tools; supporting the development of products and deliverables, including quarterly reports; document innovations and best practices; and support monitoring and evaluation activities. Develop and oversee the implementation of programmatic strategies, campaigns, messages, and activities for CMP’s health and nutrition components. He/She will support CMP’s strategies and activities for its cross-cutting themes of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Water and Sanitation (WATSAN) and contribute to developing best means of mainstreaming these sub-objectives within CMP’s program activities. Coordinate work plans and tasks with the Community Mobilization Advisor - Karachi to ensure seamless, integrated implementation of CMP’s health and nutrition component activities with CMP’s community mobilization activities and the other program activities. Under the guidance and instruction of the Community Mobilization Advisor – Karachi or the DCOP, represent CMP or participate in meetings with senior GOS and other high level CMP stakeholders in relation to CMP’s health and nutrition component.

This position is located in Karachi, Pakistan with regular travel to the field. Only in-country citizens should apply.  He/She will report to the Deputy Chief of Party, Karachi. This position requires a professional who speaks Local languages and has a strong Sindh work background.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible experience managing donor-supported basic health and nutrition and community mobilization development projects.
  • A demonstrated ability to work collegially and productively with a variety of partners and stakeholders.
  • Advanced degree in public health, community health, or related discipline;
  • Familiarity with Pakistan health system and challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, both interpersonal and written, to fulfill the technical and managerial responsibilities proposed.
  • Ability to participate in all representation and technical meetings in English and Urdu/Sindhi.
  • A demonstrated commitment to addressing challenges of basic health and nutrition in the region.
  • Familiarity with local languages will be a distinct advantage.
  • Living and working experience in the Sindh Province.
