Position Title: Driver

BACKGROUND: CRS Pakistan is currently working in the following sectors: education, drought mitigation, WASH, livelihoods, and protection sectors. Alongside this, CRS continues to work in the areas of emergency response and disaster preparedness & mitigation.
CRS has been working on Drought Mitigation in Tharparkar District since 2004. The Drought Mitigation project has focused on improving household and community resilience to drought through water infrastructure, water efficiency for multiple purposes, Natural Resource Management (NRM), improved agricultural productivity, and improved livestock health and productivity.
Currently, CRS is preparing to initiate a new, six month project that will build on CRS previous experience to support improved resilience for drought-affected communities and households in Tharparkar. This project will focus on livestock productivity, including immediate response to the current severe drought and improving mitigation and coping strategies for future droughts. CRS hopes to secure continued funding for disaster risk management in the future.
JOB SUMMARY:The Driver is responsible for providing logistical support to the CRS Staff, vehicals and responsible/managing fild visits for staff of the CRS field office Mithi.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITES:
 In coordination Maintain and ensure availability of serviceable vehicles for operations at all times.
 Drive any Agency vehicle assigned in a defensive manner at all items
 Ensure that all vehicle records are maintained in an accurate and retrievable fashion at all times in appropriate files.
 Ensure all vehicles are adequately and correctly fuelled at all times.
 Ensure the safety of the CRS Vehicle and of all passanger sitting/traveling in the vehicle at all times
 Provide surveillance and oversight of all CRS Vehicle ; notify the Supervisor of any suspicious activities or incidents occurs during travel/field visit and complete reports as required
 Prevent traveling into the CRS Vehicle of any person not authorized by the management or that of any person who lacks proper identification; ensure that partners staff have prior approval from designate before traviling in CRS vehicale
 Notify Supervisor and/or Base Manager Immediately in the case of: road Accident or damage to person or property, or in any other situation with which the Driver on duty cannot cope alone
 When there are no persons in the Vehicle, ensure all doors and windows are locked never leave Vehicle parked alone
 Notify Supervisor in advance of any absence or forfeit the pay for the specific day and possibly face dismissal for unauthorized leave
 To be engaged solely with CRS and no other employer during this contract period
 Remain conscious and alert while driving/visting field and immediately report to Admin officer if feel or see any suspicious activity (if any vehicle is following/tracing)
 Take proper care of CRS Assets/vehicle . Under no circumstances can CRS or CRS staff property or items be used or accessed apart from those provide by CRS or CRS staff
Emergency Response:
As CRS/Pakistan responds to disaster situations, Driver may be called upon to support emergency operations. Willingness and flexibility to perform tasks other than described in this job description and work longer hours than normal as necessary to complete critical tasks is required.

Qualifications:
 Secondary School Certificate
 Valid Driving Licance
 Minimum two to three years of experience in the relevant field.

 Honest, trustworthy, responsible, and have good physical strength.
 Basic English skills, take and share simple messages
