Karakoram Area Development Organization (KADO) is a non-profit indigenous development organization in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB). It works on the mission to develop local capacities for equitable and sustainable development. “Enhancing Employability of Marginalized Segments in GB through IT” is one of the projects of KADO focused on providing employable training to the marginalized youth in “Online Earning/Freelancing” and “Alternate Energy Solutions” in the region. This project falls under Fund for Innovative Training (FIT) program which is co-funded by the European Union, the Kingdom of Netherlands and the Federal Republic of Germany and implemented through GIZ in collaboration with NAVTTC.

For this project, KADO immediately needs highly motivated candidate for below mentioned Contractual position;

Job Placement cum Content Writing Officer (01 position based in Hunza)

The position will report to the Project Manager. Main responsibilities include;

  • Lead the Business Incubation Officers team.
  • Collect online job market information for trainees regarding job openings, entry and skills requirements and other occupational information.
  • Maintain strong contracts and liaise with online businesses and industries concerning online and offline employment opportunities and make collaborations with relevant companies.
  • Placement of the trainees with different online and offline paid assignments and/or jobs.
  • Ensure quality of work done by the graduates and ensure its timely submission to the employers.
  • Identify potential online earning institutions to place graduates as interns country wide.
  • Maintain database of trainees and employers and trainees tracking systems during and after the trainings in  consultation with M & E Officer and  Coordinators
  • Content writing for developing success stories related to the project and trainees, promotional materials, website, magazine and other related products. 

Qualifications & skills;

  • Masters degree or equivalent in relevant field from a reputable institution.
  • Proven relevant experience.
  • Command on using MS Office and online communication & social media tools
  • Excellent content writing skills.
  • Good interpersonal, report writing as well as spoken English skills.
