Deputy Chief of Party

Chemonics seeks a deputy chief of party for an anticipated USAID-funded project in Pakistan targeting the private sector and supporting small-medium enterprises (SME) in various industries. Responsibilities include:  serve as the key liaison between the project and relevant counterparts, provide managerial and technical support to the Chief of Party, and supervise project subcomponents and activities. This position will be based in Islamabad or Lahore.

 Qualifications: 

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in economics, public policy, business administration, or a related field
• Minimum 7 years of experience managing or assisting team leaders in private sector development, public private partnerships, enterprise development, value chain development and gender integration, preferably in Pakistan.
•  Knowledge and prior experience of USAID operations, programming, and structure a plus.
• Proficiency in English and Urdu required; knowledge of Pashto desirable.
