Field Engineer
Objective: To supervise and implement the Rapid project activities in the field at district Bannu/DIK
Reporting Responsibilities: The field Engineer will report to:
- Civil Engineer
- Team Leader
Technical Responsibilities:
1- Field Engineer, the incumbent shall be responsible for planning and organizing engineering services in support of the project assisted site in the project operation area.
2- Prepare a systematic overview of the appropriate technology for the needs of the project.
3- Plan & organize construction work on the assigned site.
4- Inspect project sites/site to monitor progress & ensure conformance to design & specifications and safety
5- To give layouts of the target activities.
6- Carry out Topographic surveys using survey equipment.
7- To keep all the labor and material records on site
8- To prepare material request forms as per material requirement on sites as given in BOQ’s.
9- To assist community/contractor on site for the proper implementation of the civil structure as per the approved drawings.
10- Prepare daily/weekly site progress report and share with the Project Engineer.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Human Resources:
- To supervise the daily labours & contractors
- To have regular coordination with TDPs
Logistics
- To provide support in all logistic arrangements are in place for smooth function at field level
Finance
- To provide support to finance officer for labour payment if any.
Linkages
- To represent and promote Rapid Project to host community and TDPs at field level in his/her working district
- To attend the project related meetings in the field
Qualifications:
- Diploma in civil engineering
- Must have knowledge of the emergency project in shelters and WASH.
- At least 1-2 years of experience and proven track record of relevant competence of working with NGOs/INGOs.
- Experience in shelters, latrines construction and hand pumps installation
- Ability and interest to work with a multi-ethnic team in a culturally appropriate manner.
- Experience of working in unstable or conflict affected areas and willingness to work in very remote areas with limited services and amenities.
- Having knowledge of computer applications and soft wares (MS Word, MS Excel & Power point).
