Community Appraisal and Motivation Programme (CAMP) is a national non-profit and non-governmental organisation established and registered in May 2002, under the Societies Act of 1860 (Registration No. 192/5/2946). Project Objective(s): The objective of the project is to reduce vulnerability of target communities in KP to disaster, by building disaster preparedness services through volunteer groups.

Job Description

Job Summary:

To deliver CBDRM trainings to formed disaster management groups (DMG’s) at community level in flood affected area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in finalizing Training Manual and IEC material for DMG and roll out trainings.
  • Develop monthly trainings plans in consultation with social organizers and project management.
  • Conduct timely, qualitative DMG, and school trainings and ensure availability of all training material at training Venue.
  • Facilitate the community in the development of roll out trainings and monitoring of rollout trainings.
  • Plan and support the training of district emergency response team of DDMU.
  • Ensure signing of MOU with DMG and school focal person while handing over of Tool kit.
  • Submission of all filled training documents after each DMG training i.e. (pre/post tests, evaluation forms, training report, attendance sheets, disbursement sheet etc).
  • Develop and maintain database of all Trainings conducted by them.
  • Develop hazard maps and flood contingency plans of the target villages. 
  • Supervise roll out trainings by DMGs in close coordination with social organizers.
  • Provide Support logistic department in distribution of disaster tool kit.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
  • Facilitate in monitoring and evaluation of the projects.
  • Adhere to CAMP policies/procedures including finance, human resources, security, procurement and logistics; and ensure staff compliance.
  • Participate in professional development activities, as needed or assigned.
  • Take initiative and perform any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or CEO.
  • Assist field visits of donors, partner organization and key stake holders.
  • To conduct sessions with DMG networks.

Working Conditions & Travel:

The position is based in Peshawar with daily travel and working in the field sites.

Person Specification

Education/Qualification:

Masters Degree from HEC recognized university in a relevant discipline

Experience, Skills & Competencies:

  • 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Microsoft office experience (word, excel, outlook express, internet, powerpoint)
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Self management and ability to work under stress
  • Experience of planning and organizing work
