Chemonics International, an international development consulting company based in Washington, D.C., seeks Pakistani national candidates for the USAID-funded Punjab Enabling Environment Project (PEEP). This five year initiative aims to improve the enabling environment for the agriculture sector in Punjab to promote private sector led growth, especially focusing on the horticulture and dairy and livestock sub-sectors. We are seeking qualified administrative specialists for the following long-term position based in Lahore, Punjab province, Pakistan.

Administrative Assistant

  • Provide daily administrative support with operations, logistics and procurement, including collecting vendor quotes.
  • Arrange travel, hotel accommodations, and visa; maintain hard copy and electronic office files, support the reception area, and receiving and directing guests and telephone calls.
  • Adhere to USAID, Chemonics corporate, and project management policies, practices, and tools.
  • Report to the operations manager; does not have any direct supervisees.
  • Confirm and receive RSVPs for meetings, assist with invitations and tracking, and support administrative duties for meetings.
  • Track use of office supplies and procure supplies
  • Prepare administrative forms for project-related items.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Accounting or related field is required;
  • Experience with USAID  or other donor and/or development-related organizations preferred;
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity;
  • Flexibility, creativity, and the ability to maintain a rapid and demanding pace of work;
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and oral communication skills;
  • Detail oriented and ability to accurately document files;
  • Fluency in both written and oral English required.
  • Experience working with U.S. government agencies, Pakistani government officials, private sector stakeholders, and/or bilateral/multilateral institutions;
