Relevant Experience:

  1. University education required
  2. Three years of work experience in development sector, experience working with international organization or government highly desirable
  3. Ability to work, live and travel extensively in Karachi
  4. Ability to work as a member of a dynamic team with varied reporting lines. Understands the difference between coordinating with team members and directly reporting to supervisors.
  5. Demonstrated English report writing skills
  6. Speak and comprehend English, Udru and Sindhi.
  7. Ability to conduct interviews with community members and government in security-sensitive areas

Job Description:

  • Coordinate weekly with field teams to determine priority tasks. Ensure field teams are aware of all M&E tasks and reports.
  • Conduct at least four site visits during the project implementation phase for each grant in assigned area (consensus meeting, bidding ceremony, site visit, indicator verification visit)
  • Produce a “routine monitoring report” (RMR) according to an approved template for each site visit prior to the indicator verification visit
  • Accurately interpret Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and grant database file shared by head office to determine indicators for which the Officer will be evaluating projects.
  • Draft “final evaluation reports” (FER) based on prescribed formatafter visiting a grant sites for verification of indicators
  • Identify lessons learned, constraints, and project impacts  based on determined theme and/or sector for inclusion in FERs
  • Share observations from monitoring visits with M&E Coordinator if findings demonstrate questionable actions.
  • Meet with the community members, including Project Oversight Committee (POC) members, consensus jirga members and government officials to collect required feedback.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for Grants Officers when developing impact assessments, success stories and weekly reporting.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for Grants Officers if additional information is needed to close grants
  • Undertake comprehensive analysis of large numbers of projects based on history of site visits. Be able to present findings to M&E Coordinator in a concise and professional manor
  • Participate in professional training and development activities as necessary
  • Contribute to the development of the program team by modeling positive and productive professional work relationships
  • Represent the program positively and professionally in both internal and external environments.
