Job Purpose:

The main purpose of this position is to assist the Environmental Compliance Officer in collecting quarterly environmental monitoring reports from the environment focal persons at regional level for developing and updating the environment database that will enable TAP to track progress, and assist in evaluating effectiveness, and assess the environmental impact of TAP portfolio. 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Redesign or modify the existing environment database in light of the TAP requirements and USAID reporting requirements.
  • Update and maintain record of all environmental compliance activities by date of activity, details of activity, location of activity and names of beneficiary entities, related to each grant type.
  • Provide timely fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on the activities and results of each activity type with respect to EMMP compliance.
  • Maintain records related to progress reports along with corresponding evidence, in hard and soft copies.
  • Capture success stories from the field based on results achieved and send it to the Environmental Compliance Officer.
  • Support the Environment Staff in maintaining authentic records of achievements.
  • Provide inputs for development, standardization, and deployment of monitoring tools that capture quantitative and qualitative data to be utilized for reporting under the identified indicators.

Experience

Minimum 5 years' experience related to the above duties and responsibilities, out of which 3 years’ experience should be in a similar role in database related job responsibilities.

Experience with a proven track record in and database management and data analysis

Experience of working on development projects is highly desirable.

 

 

Experience of working with International NGOs, local NGOs, donor agencies, or other reputed international development organizations will be a plus.

 

Experience with database development and management in Access a plus.

Skills & Competencies

Computer literacy with demonstrated use of word processing, database and presentation software (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.)

Excellent writing and communications skills in English required.

Ability to independently manage day to day activities of M&E in region with minimum supervision

Net work management & administration and Database Management System (DBMS-SQL) will definitely be the plus points.

Qualification / Knowledge

Bachelors in Business with major in IT.

Thorough working knowledge of reporting requirements and M&E frameworks of international donors is a must.
