TITLE: Associate Software Application Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Develop application architect and design artifacts e.g. Sequence, State & Class diagrams, Database ERD, Code Structure and Sudo code for complex modules & algorithms 
  • 100% ownership and responsibility of technical design & architect of the application/product with high performance and resilience
  • Provides architectural, standards, and process support for definition and implementation of a consistent technical infrastructure
  • Leads establishment and communication of architecture standards and tools.
  • Establishes and verifies compliance with technical architecture standards, processes, principles, and methodologies
  • Monitors creation and maintenance of technical roadmaps
  • Perform as a technical lead and mentor for team of 10+ software engineers
  • Help product managers in estimating level of effort for new functionality and change requests
  • Participate in product and/or application definition activities including feature analysis and system tradeoffs
  • Collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions
  • Utilize software engineering tools such as configuration management systems; build processes, and debuggers in the software development process
  • Develop complex software in C# and/or Java, or other selected languages/tools for Global Rescue products and/or applications consistently following GRID Systems coding standards and in accordance with applicable software development methodology and release
  • Evaluate and utilize best framework/s to develop reusable software packages and software services
  • Learn and adopt new frameworks, tools and technologies
  • Complete any other software development and IT infrastructure activities
  • Any other technology related tasks as necessary

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors in IT/Computer Science
  • Minimum 1 year of proven application architect experience, in addition to 7 years or more J2EE application development proven experience
  • Proficient in design and programming using
    • Java 1.6 Plus /JEE 1.5 Plus
    • JSF2.0 plus, EJBs 3.0 & Hibernate
    • JAX-WS and JAX-RS
    • JBoss Application Server
    • Google map API Version 3 Plus
  • Database Designing and SQL Programming in MySQL Server / Postgres SQL
  • Object Oriented Analysis and Design & JEE related Design Patterns,
  • Experience of design and development of distributed application with SOA
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Java/JEE. Servlets, JSP, JSF2.0 plus, EJB3.0, JDBC/Hibernate, JUnit, Eclipse, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Git SCM, JBoss Application Server, MySQL Server
