Relevant Experience:

 

  • CA Inter/ACCA/MBA Finance with minimum 3 years of experience preferably in development sector.
  • Good understanding of computerized accounting system, preferably Solomon.
  • Good understanding of USAID regulations
  • Experience with grants management will be preferred.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Command on MS office especially MS Excel.

Job Description:

 

  •  Provide weekly grants disbursement to DB Offer to update grants data base.
  • Coordinate with the Grant Officers to reconcile financial record with grants database.
  • Closely monitor grants budget and intimate FC of potential over/under spending on time.
  •  Provide targeted capacity building and training in financial systems (banking, controls, etc) to low capacity CSOs/NGOs.
  • Conducting/Assisting Pre-Awards Assessments of potential awardees
  •  Closely supervise Finance Assistants for timely payment to the vendors, consultants and grantees.
  • Review cash and bank payment vouchers, tracking all advances to employees/vendors.
  • Real time data entry in the accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics SL ).
  •  Produce segregated finance records at the request of the FC such as expenses for specific grantees.
  •  Review deduction of Income tax and Sales tax at source i.e. salaries, venders, contractors and service providers and make sure that deducted taxes are timely deposited in the government treasury.
  •  Prepare tax challans & e-filling of statements to the FBR.
  •  Preparation of monthly payroll.
  • Assist FC to produce monthly financial reports and share with Islamabad office by 3rd of each month following the reporting month.
  •  Preparation of Bank reconciliations.
  •  Making cash count on daily basis.
  • Cooperate and assist in audit requirements.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
