Job Type: Three Years Renewable Contract
Job Description:
Reporting to Group Head; the responsibilities of this position are primarily related to supporting the organization by providing technical leadership, program development planning (annual & multi-year), program direction, and program implementation. The incumbent will be responsible to:
- Rapidly develop a superior experience-based understanding and knowledge of the technical and economic challenges that the renewable industry must overcome;
- Provide the technical solutions, tools, and testing capabilities that can support the organization in rapidly developing an innovative, reliable cost-effective, renewable energy for the communities;
- Lead collaboratively with guidance from the Group Head, the creation of R&D plans for water power technologies, including project and proposal development, Annual Operating Plans, technical/programmatic meetings, and allocations of funding to the Partner Organizations;
- Provide fiscal oversight and accountability for Organization’s Annual Operating Plan portfolio, including management and monitoring of subcontracts, within cost and schedule guidelines and in compliance with organizations environmental policies and procedures in order to maintain a safe work environment.
Required Qualification & Experience:
The applicant must have a Masters or Bachelor’s in Engineering degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil from a HEC recognized and well reputed national university or from the reputed foreign university with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
Required Skills & Competencies:
The required competencies and skills for this position are:
- Strong communication (written and verbal) skills;
- Fluency in English and Urdu is a must and that in Pushto will be an added advantage;
- A good team player with demonstrated experience of working in a multidisciplinary, pro-poor environment; demonstrated experience in the development of renewable energy systems, particularly community managed micro hydroelectric and solar energy projects;
- Well versed in dealing with international donors, as well as related government agencies; experience in developing/processing CDM based Carbon Finance solicitations (PINS, PDDs/POAs) for a combination of different renewable energy technologies will be considered to be an additional qualification.
