Hiring a consulting company for arranging annual retreat
Introduction
Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) is the lead apex institution for community-driven development in the country. Set up by the Government of Pakistan as an autonomous not-for-profit organization, PPAF enjoys facilitation and support from the Government of Pakistan, The World Bank, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), KfW Entwicklungsbank (Development Bank of Germany) and other statutory and corporate donors. PPAF aims to be the catalyst for improving the quality of life, broadening the range of opportunities and socio-economic mainstreaming of the poor and disadvantaged, especially women. The core operating units of the PPAF deliver a range of development interventions at the grassroots/community level through a network of more than 100 Partner Organizations across the country. These include social mobilization, support for livelihood, enterprise and employment, access to credit, infrastructure and energy, health, education and disaster management. Externally commissioned independent studies have demonstrated positive outcomes and impact of PPAF interventions on the lives of benefiting communities related to their economic output, household incomes, assets, agricultural productivity skills and other quality of life indices. Background
The PPAF annual retreat aims at refreshing team motivation, bonding as a team and taking stock of the activities/work during the past two years along with soul-searching, celebration as well spending time on what future holds for the Team.
Objectives
The objectives of the retreat are:
- Bonding as a team under the framework of PPAF core values of Ishq, Ilm, Amal
- Reflecting as team on successes, achievements and failures
- Planning for future as a Team
Target Audience
The target audience for the retreat is:
PPAF’s Responsibility/Inputs
The Communication and Media Unit shall be the lead unit for the assignment. PPAF shall be responsible for:
- Providing the consultant team with all the required information about PPAF
- Arranging meetings between the PPAF senior management and the consultant team
- Arranging travelling, boarding and logistics for the consultant team
- Approving location for a day-long event
- Organizing all event arrangements including logistics, audio/visual, sound system, multi-media and seating arrangement
- Ensuring that the work plan is timely shared by the consultants and is duly approved by the PPAF senior management
Consultant company’s responsibility
Following is the description of services that PPAF expects from the consulting company:
- Prepare and implement event’s activity plan
- Coordinate the entire activity on the respective day as per approval of the senior management
- Prepare info packs for Team PPAF
Company’s Profile
- At least 5 years’ experience in arranging company retreats including development sector organizations
- Proven experience in arranging large scale company events
- Capable of designing team-building and motivational activities that are interactive, experiential, with dynamic applications that align to the workplace
Time Frame
The assignment’s duration is 7 days
