DATA BASE PROGRAMMER

Protégé global is a multinational firm that provides outsourcing needs. We are a technology center and grooming our business and people with latest technology coming in market. We have our regional offices in Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore. Currently we have an opening of CORE ASP DEVELOPER in our Islamabad office.

Job Description:

• Candidate should be highly experienced in MySQL and MSSQL development (stored procedures, Views, User defined function, optimization, etc), administration, database design including but not limited to Database backup, replication, Database recovery in case of system crash, Database normalization, etc.
• Database Programmer will work with other developers to create optimized queries and will be responsible in scaling our systems to handle large volumes of traffic for our search, storage, and distributed processing platforms.

Required Skills:

• • 3+ Years of database development/administration using MySQL and MS SQL and other RDBMS like PostgreSQL, MariaDB, etc. experience is a plus
• Conversion database and its objects (Stored Procedures, Views, UDF, etc.) from MS SQL to My SQL.
• Design new stored procedures and optimize existing stored procedures according to varying business needs.
• Design and run load and performance tests on databases and optimize for performance.
• Expertise in writing Dynamic SQL Queries.
• Knowledge of SQL Connection Pooling.
• Perform/maintain backups, offsite and restores of Database backups to prepare for disaster recovery.
• Provide project support for database instances across production and development environments to developer team.
• Maintain documentation and standards on production/development Database environments.
• Experience at troubleshooting database related issues (lock contention, high load, slow queries, performance etc) and identify root causes.
• Ability to effectively interface and communicate within engineering/development team.
