Our client is looking for a committed, experienced and dynamic individual to lead their Islamabad office.

The Role

  • Establish and develop relationships with clients and decision makers, in both donor and government sectors.
  • Identify, pursue and capture new business opportunities in all core business areas.
  • Provide in-country competitor analysis and market intelligence.
  • Manage the expansion of the company’s business and work in close partnership with internal stakeholders in other international offices, including UK and USA.
  • Develop a sustainable pipeline business in the country through leveraging contacts and networks.
  • Establish business relationships with potential associates and local/international strategic partners.
  • Analyse and research changing trends in the political and economic needs.
  • Prepare operational plans and business strategies to achieve Country Operating Plan.
  • Manage projects/provide consulting support in country business operations.
  • Work closely with project staff to ensure compliance with budget, work procedures and quality standards.  

The Qualifications and Experiences

  • Degree in a relevant business disciplines from a reputable university is essential, Master Degree an advantage.
  • 5+ year track record in business development and/or consulting experience, ideally with an international consulting company.
  • Knowledgeable of business development.
  • Knowledge of developing an in-country consultancy capacity in areas such as;  public financial management, tax reform , customs and trade facilitation and procurement .

The Skills and Competencies

  • Must possess strong business development, analytical and consultancy skills.
  • The ability to think strategically and be able to write reports & contribute to proposals.
  • The ability and confidence to represent the Company at senior levels within Government, the International Donor community and with private sector organisations.
  • The competency to develop an in-country consultancy in a wide range of public sector activities .
  • The ability to adhere to the highest levels of integrity and maintenance of  ethical standards.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in written and oral Urdu and English.
  • Proficiency in MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and use of E-mail is essential.
  • The ability to travel, both domestically and internationally, as and when required.

Remuneration

  • The remuneration package will be in line with organisation’s pay policy and will be based on the candidate’s experience and value to the company.
