Specific Tasks.

  As directed by the supervisor for this position, or by the Chief of Party or his/her designee, the individual holding this position shall oversee, support the performance of, and perform when necessary the following specific tasks:


  • Perform all the tasks assigned by Team Leader and meet all deadlines.
  • Design data backup policy procedures.
  • Actively perform backups of Servers, Network Configurations and Data and testing to ensure no important information is lost during disaster situations.
  • Install, support and maintain new server hardware and software infrastructure.
  • Undertake routine preventative measures and implement, maintain and monitor network & servers security, particularly where network connects to the internet.
  • Set up email / user accounts, permissions and passwords.
  • Actively monitor network usage by using available state of the art tools.
  • Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations and associated systems.
  • Ensure the most cost-effective and efficient use of servers.
  • Provide IT solutions to business and management problems.
  • Analyze and resolve faults, ranging from a major system crash to a forgotten password.
  • Provide training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence.
  • Assist IT Manager in planning and implementing IT developments.
  • Research, evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions.
  • Manage all system back-up and restore protocol.
  • Share knowledge with IT Team.
  • Provide technical support to all staff (Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Guest House, Swat office).
  • Maintain Wi-fi System
  • Maintain and manage routine up gradation of Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Swat offices
  • Maintain data and database backup
  • Backup share drive data of Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad Offices for the inventory system, and EMS as per policy defined by IT Manager
  • Refresh pool laptops when returned by staff members and fix issues
  • Maintain routine checkup and perform optimization of following servers
  • Database Server
  • Internet Server
    • Manage Network devices
    • Maintain video conferencing and VoIP System
    • Provide help desk support to all staff including satellite offices.
    • Report and follow up for service restoration during office hours and after hours.


 Specific Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of work experience in the areas listed below
  • Extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN, hub & spoke Infra, routers, switches and ASA is must.
  • Proficiency required in windows and Linux environment.
  • Knowledge of databases and web development technologies is a plus.
  • Fluency in spoken English.


 Educational Requirements·         Bachelor's degree in IT, computer sciences, or related field is required; a Master’s degree in such fields is preferred
