General Functions

 Under the overall supervision of the program manager and the direct supervision of the Field Operations Manager, the incumbent would be responsible to:

 Prepare and implement a plan for Economic Support Activities working with the existing teams based in FATA Agencies and Frontier Regions to produce a detailed operational plan for each area.  Acting as consultant on Economic Support Activities for FATA, the incumbent will involve all the field teams in developing and disseminating best practices in present local practice, primarily consisting of agriculture, livestock and service delivery activities.  Experience in training staff to support business plan development is critical.

The incumbent will also be expected to develop guidelines for design and approval of Economic Support Activities proposed by Community Institutions and to have experience training and supporting the relevant staff at agency level.  Experience in training staff to identify, plan and develop processes to implement Economic Support Activities at the Agency and tehsil level including but not limited to conducting skill mapping, identification of sectors with job opportunities and identifying existing training and placement mechanisms as well as experience in coordination of all of the above is strongly encouraged.


Minimum Qualification and Experience

Should be Graduate or equivalent with 5 years relevant work experience in Livelihood development and service delivery. Should have ample knowledge and field experience with monitoring and evaluation, preferably in externally aided or similar projects. Excellent writing and communication skills are required.
