Under the overall guidance of the Program Manager, Socio Cultural Coordinator will be responsible for specific grant development, implementation and strategy for the socio- cultural and tourism portfolios of the program. His duties /responsibilities includes :

Specific Duties and Responsibilities 

    • Secure and maintain a firm grasp and understanding of existing Government of Pakistan regulations and policies with regards to socio cultural and tourism activities to keep the Program’s ongoing and new projects in line with these regulations and policies.
    • Develop the organizational structure for this sector programming and directly manage all related staff.
    • Prepare, design and review all socio cultural grant ideas that are to be prepared for the projects. Ensure that all projects are in line and according to the Program’s implementation plan.
    • Develop report on all Program socio cultural activities to date and strategy for the way forward, ensuring that all project ideas fall into the strategy.
    • Advise Program leadership, over the course of the program, on implementation of socio cultural and tourism related activities and coordination with any additional specialized implementers.
    • Develop, advance and manage relationships and activities with new and existing programmatic and strategic partners to advance the Program’s socio cultural projects.
    • Compile related reports as and when required by Program Management / Donors.
    • Assist in political advisory role to the Program leadership.
    • Select a relevant political team to be co located with government departments and manage the political coordination department.
    • Advise senior Program leadership, local field team leaders etc on political dynamics and problem solve as issues arise related to Program optic, government ownership, community engagement and other related difficulties.
    • Any other duties as required.

Education Required 

  • University degree relevant to the enumerated tasks.
  • Experience with progressive responsibility in the design and implementation of socio cultural and tourism projects.
  • Ability to use access database and Microsoft excel, access, outlook and word.
  • At least three years of experience working with community development projects.Must be able to work under pressure; should be willing to work long hours and on weekends when required and travel to FATA and throughout KPK.

Languages

 Thorough knowledge of English, including English writing skills; knowledge of Urdu and/or Pashtu an advantage
