PURPOSE OF POSITION:To promote the wellbeing of children, provide psychosocial support to the children in CFS and also encourage community participation in the CFS project
Major Activity:• To provide Counseling sessions to the Children and their families• To provide guidance to CPC facilitators in implementing activities in the CPC• To conduct life skills based education to children on the regular bases• To build the capacities of CPC facilitators in psychosocial support to children.• To design age appropriate activities for children attending the CPC• Communicate effectively with children• Identify the psychosocial needs of children attending the CPC• Ensure equal participation of all children (including children with disabilities) in the CPC project• Record keeping of children provided counseling and psychosocial support.• Advocates at community level for psychosocial wellbeing of children• Report on the impact of the CPC project on the lives of children and families• Respecting cultural norms, ethics of psychosocial support process and maintaining confidentiality. • Developing case studies on a weekly basis.• Carry out specific duties as assigned by the supervisor
Knowledge and Skills: 1 Masters in Psychology2 Ability to engage with children and youth3 Willingness to work in remote areas4 Good sensitivity on religious and cultural norms 5 At least one year of experience in the field of psychology
