Lady Health Visitor (LHV)

Relevant Experience:

  ·         Midwifery experience/LHV Diploma

·         3 years experience in MCH and labour room work

·         Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and writing skills.

·         Fluency in written and spoken Pashto and English.

Job Description:

• Provide and ensure quality RH services (SMH,FP,STI management, SGBV and others)
• Conduct growth-monitoring program to facilitate child development.
• Manage sick child based on IMCI (WHO) guidelines
• Organize and support community based PHC including provision of  re-supply to FHWs /LHWs
• Monitor and organize health education activities including ensuring of functional ORT corners in BHU/RHC
• Identify and mange high risk cases among  pregnant mother and after birth
• Implement and ensures infection prevention at the BHU level
• Provide counselling services on RH issues (FP, Birth planning, STI and SGBV)

Perform home visits for follow-up of clients and to monitor FHWs, FORWs and LHWs activities.
