KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: 

  1. Advocacy
  • Take lead in development of advocacy strategy and its implementation

·         Lead on development of operational work plan on advocacy and communication activities under the project which includes a detailed timeline of activities.

  • Support technical teams in development of advocacy messages for their respective sectors.
  • Coordinate with advocacy teams at PkCO

 

  1. Communication

·         Coordinate the development and implementation of activities involving print and electronic media

·         Keeping updated record of all relevant activities at federal, provincial and district levels

·         Maintain constant communication and coordination with project staff for coordinating BCC activities and ensuring quality

·         Regular-on going documentation and reporting on program activities

·         Facilitate formation and coordination with technical core group while implementing the campaign activities.

·         Support communications team in development of Information Education and Communication (IEC) material for the Campaigns.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

·         Masters degree in development or related discipline

·         3-5 years management experience in the related discipline  

·         Experience of working with INGOs/donor agencies/UN

·         Demonstrated ability of leading policy advocacy initiatives designing and developing advocacy strategies and campaigns.

·         Strong oral and written English communication skills required.

·         Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

·         Management and Organization skills in terms of people and work

·         Ability to meet targets within tight deadlines

·         Result-oriented team player and leader

·         Sound judgment, flexibility, adaptability and cultural sensitivity.

·         Proficiency in MS Office Suite is essential.
